The OnePlus X is a marvelous phone design-wise, so many Android fans probably ordered it based on that and the good price. Despite the fact that it's not a flagship smartphone, OnePlus continues to support the X with timely software update that bring new features and improvements.
After releasing OxygenOS update based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow last month, OnePlus is now pushing yet another important update for OnePlus X owners. The update adds security improvements and bug fixes, but no new features.
If you own the OnePlus X, you should be looking for OxygenOS 3.14 (based on Marshmallow) update. The Chinese company confirmed it has started the incremental rollout of the update, which means it might not be available to everyone right away.
According to the official changelog, the update brings the new November security patch that's been released by Google only recently. Also, OnePlus claims the update should fix some launcher related crashes.
OxygenOS 3.1.4 should also increase system stability and brings some auto-brightness optimization along with general bug fixes.
As mentioned earlier, the OTA will only reach a small percentage of OnePlus X users today, but in the coming days it should be available for a wider audience.
