Lately, Skitch has become an invaluable tool for editing images that I use in tutorials I publish on this blog. I use it to capture, annotate, crop and resize images. I also use it to blur out portions of an image that need to be kept private eg personal info.

Skitch gives you all the tools you need to get your point across faster.  With Skitch, you can open an existing image or capture a new one, then add shapes, write on it, draw on it, annotate it any way you like, and save to your PC or mobile device.
