Why Can't Airtel Introduce This Type of Data Plan 28GB for N1628?

Why Can't Airtel Introduce This Type of Data Plan 28GB for N1628?

From NCC last reports, it shows that Airtel had more subscribers in January compared to other telcos, I don’t know how and why but I want to guess because of their coverage. On the other hand, subscribers have always preferred cheaper data plan and Comparing Glo N2,000 for 7.5GBand Airtel N2000 for 3.5GB is a no go area at all.

Using Glo network to me looks like a forbidden fruit because it will take forever to open a single page without image loading.

Scrolling through Airtel India, I discovered that they just launched a new plan that offers 28GB of data and unlimited calls for Rs 345 (N1,628) per month.  This sound too good to be true … But when it comes to Nigeria, they are stingy with data. Or it seems they don’t trust Nigerians when it comes to data usage because some of you too don’t trust yourself when it comes to data usage.

Why can’t airtel just bring something enticing like this to her subscribers in this country? We are tired of all those crappy airtel basic internet, and questionable data plans that zaps in minutes.

I still consider it a pure wickedness introducing a virus data plan 2GB for N200 and only works efficiently on 2G network (222). Those who opted into this plan are still complaining till today because even Airtel management don’t know what code to press to opt you out of this virus data plan.

We need that kind of data plan (28GB for N1,628) introduced in India right here… Airtel need to wake up and do something.

Facebook Just Added An Awesome Feature To Its Application

The social media giant Facebook has not stopped launching updates and introducing new features to its platform during the last months, such as Ephemeral Stories or the possibility of searching for free WiFi, among other features. Now, the social network of Mark Zuckerberg wants to land in the tourism sector with a new function: City Guides.

This new option will be located in the More menu of the Facebook app for mobile devices, where other platform services such as Weather, Friends Nearby, Nearby places or Search WiFi are located. When you click on the corresponding section, the user accesses the list of available travel guides, and in each city, you can see the friends who have visited.

This new feature, located in the More section of the application, will give users a list of cities and, in it, a list of the friends who visited it, along with several recommendations of interesting places to visit and things to do, such as restaurants, hotels, Tourist points and other highlights.

According to a Facebook spokesperson, “we are testing a redesigned interface of the city’s pages. This content already exists on Facebook, and during this test, we centralize the information to know the city in a way that is more personalized and relevant to users. So, this new feature can help people get to know their city better.”

Apparently, tests of Facebook’s new travel guide functionality started last year, but so far they had not been activated. Its deployment has started recently for some users in the United States and is not yet available in India. Moreover, the social network giant Facebook has not confirmed yet that when it will reach other countries, but it may do so soon, so stay tuned for updates to the app.

So, what do you think? Do you think this new Facebook functionality will be useful to plan your trips? Simply share your views and thoughts in the comment section below.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) spotted again ahead of official launch

Recently, the smartphone was spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance, another stop the Galaxy J7 (2017) must make before going official. After receiving its Wi-Fi certification, the handset should be ready for prime time since it has already cleared the FCC and got its Bluetooth certification not long ago.

The Galaxy J7 (2017) is a decent mid-range handset, which, according to the Wi-Fi Alliance documents, will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.

Hardware-wise, the device is just as competitive thanks to an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The powerful CPU is paired with just 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable memory.

Apple launches new Gold 32GB Apple iPhone 6 in Asia

Apple launches new Gold 32GB Apple iPhone 6 in Asia

There was no big announcement, no hoopla, and no product introduction video starring the voice of  Jony Ive. Right under everyone's noses, Apple launched a 32GBApple iPhone 6 in Gold for certain Asian markets. When the iPhone 6 was originally released in 2014, the phone was offered in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants. The phone is considered new because Apple never had an iPhone 6 model for sale with 32GB in native storage.

The unit has been available in China since late last month as a low-price version of the iPhone. It will launch on Taiwan Mobile on March 10th. The model will not be available from retail stores or from Apple's website. There, the low price choice remains the Apple iPhone SE. The latter is more powerfully spec'd than the iPhone 6, but with a smaller 4-inch screen.

Taiwan Mobile is offering the 32GB iPhone 6 for free with a monthly plan priced at the equivalent of $45 USD a month for 30 months. The carrier is calling it a limited-edition model. On the Taiwan Mobile website is a countdown timer that ticks down toward the March 10th launch.

The 32GB Apple iPhone 6 will be sold by Taiwan Mobile on March 10th

T-Mobile's LG G6 might be released on April 7

T-Mobile's LG G6 might be released on April 7

The LG G6 is hitting shelves this month in South Korea and other select markets, but we've heard that it may not be released in the US before April. While all major US carriers already confirmed the upcoming launch of the new smartphone, they only mentioned that the device would be available sometime "this spring." Fortunately, it looks like this doesn't meanlate spring. Or at least not for T-Mobile.

Promo material posted on Twitter (apparently by someone who works at T-Mobile) shows the magenta carrier's G6 with an April 7 date on its home screen. Quite often, promo images like these can reveal launch dates in this manner - via what's seen on a phone's home screen.

A previous rumor had it that the LG G6 would arrive in the US exactly on April 7. And this day will indeed be a Friday, as the screen of T-Mobile's G6 shows (you can see that if you zoom in close enough on the image above). Thus, we are certainly expecting T-Mobile to start selling the new handsets on April 7.

At the moment, we don't know how much the LG G6 will cost in the US, but it's probably safe to assume it's not going to be cheaper than $600 off contract. Until we hear more on this, make sure to check out our LG G6 preview for a closer look at the device.

Of course, the Nokia 3310 will not work in some countries

Of course, the Nokia 3310 will not work in some countries , See Reason

Everyone immediately had nostalgic memories of the old, indomitable phone. The reincarnation of the Nokia 3310 is poised to be just as popular all around the world. In fact, people are eagerly waiting for it to hit the market. For a sum of $50, it could be yours too.

Gadgets 360 and The Next Web have published an article to warn mobile users that the 3310 will be unusable in some countries. But of course! The phone’s specifications state that it supports only 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands – same as the original Nokia 3310. Those bands are not supported in the USA and Canada.

Also, Australia and Singapore are taking down their 900 MHz and 1,800 MHz bands. What this means, therefore, is that the Nokia 3310 will be unusable as a phone in those four countries.

The Next Web article claims that “this will render the phone virtually impossible to connect to most present-day carriers.” Really? Four countries is most carriers? Nothing else could be further from the truth. Mobile users in much of the rest of the world – Africa, Europe, South America and Asia – have nothing to worry about. The Nokia 3310 will function just fine in their backyards.
